Have you heard of Fring.com? Skype is the most famous years ago but after some comparison the rate is more expensive than Fring.com.

Google Voice also a good choice for those who likes Google's product, the rate is better than Skype and Fring, it also support calling from mobile BUT unfortunately Malaysia is not supported for "calling from Mobile", you can only call from computer by install the Voice within Gmail.
